A while ago I asked (on alt.astrology, not here) for somebody to post a set
of birth data without telling me anything about its owner. In reply Silveen

I would recognize anything you discover - if correct.
DonĀ“t be afraid. Its a drama.
This is my attempt at a basic delineation. I've written a basic description
of the personality indicated by the chart, and then a list of miscellaneous
indications. What does Silveen think of it all? I'd appreciate a fairly
detailed answer. I'd be particularly interested to know if anything seems
completely wrong. We learn from our mistakes, or try to. I'd be happy to
discuss the chart further if Silveen doesn't object.

GENERAL CHARACTER
This is a rather curious chart. The planets seem to fall into two distinct
groups, which represent two quite different sides to the person's character.
The planets of each group are all in easy aspects, if any, to each other;
but "hard" aspects or none to the planets in the other group.
I will outline the two sides separately, and then try to give some account
of how they interact. In places the two parts appear to contradict each
other; but if the chart is a correct account of the subject's character,
both traits should be present, not just one or the other.

First of all, then, the chart suggests someone who behaves in a
self-confident way. She expresses herself creatively and enthusiastically.
She frequently takes centre stage, and is good at organizing others. At
times she could be quite bossy, probably because she sincerely thinks she
knows best. This may be true; but it won't always go down well!
But she is generally cheerful and open, and behaves generously towards her
friends. She is likeable, friendly, and probably good-looking. Her charm
allows her to get her own way pretty often. There is a danger that this may
make her rather lazy or dependent on others.
(Ascendant Leo, conjunct Venus in the 1st House.)

Decidedly a romantic, she shows great appreciation and enjoyment of the
beautiful things in life. She has refined tastes, desiring luxuries both
for herself and for those she loves. If these traits get out of hand, they
could lead to self-indulgence, perhaps to extravagance or self-destructive
behaviour.
(As above, also both sextile Pluto in Libra and trine Neptune in
Sagittarius; Neptune is sextile Pluto.)

The emotional level is high, and she does not easily forget her reaction to
things. Maternal and family instincts are prominent, and she is very
sympathetic and capable of much kindness. However, she could be possessive
with those she loves. Mood swings are likely, and she could be rather
temperamental. Under strain, she tends to retreat into herself, and can
seem defensive. She conceals her anger if she can, but she does not find it
easy to forget injuries, and may burst out explosively if pushed too far.
(Moon, Mars and Jupiter in Cancer.)

A powerful imagination is indicated, and she is very sensitive to her
surroundings. She needs regular time alone, otherwise her physical and
emotional health will suffer - she may even turn to drink or drugs for
relief. There is some danger of depression or negativity.
(Moon in 12th House, semi-sextile Saturn. Also Venus and Asc. trine
Neptune.)

The other side may not be so visible at first sight, but it is an important
influence nonetheless. She aims to be practical and hardworking, and she is
discriminating and rational in her opinions. This is at odds with the more
fanciful tendencies described above, and may be something of a check on
them. Conversely, if the other side gets the upper hand, she may find
herself defying her own common sense. She attaches importance to facts and
detailed analysis, and enjoys research and organization. Her thinking is
careful and logical, remembering everything and taking it into account; but
other impulses may get the better of it after all.
(Sun and Mercury in Virgo. Just about conjunct, at 8 degrees.)

A great deal of energy is indicated, especially mental energy. Outrageously
unconventional ideas are likely, and she feels strongly about them, not
changing her mind easily.
In social clubs or other large groups, she is something of a ringleader.
Here she will become popular and make many friends, although she may quickly
lose them again if she is too ready to quarrel with those of different
opinions. Nervous tension may be a problem, with stress and anxiety
resulting from too much frenzied activity.
(Mars conj Jupiter in Cancer 11th, sextile Mercury in Virgo 2nd, and trine
Uranus in Scorpio; Mercury is sextile Uranus.)

She aspires to be pioneering and forthright, to lead the way. Her heroes
are those who triumphed through their own efforts alone. People think of
her as competitive, bold and impulsive, perhaps also selfish or pushy.
(Aries MC.)

A certain amount of pride is apparent, and places some restraint on her
behaviour - either for good or evil. Self-posession is indicated, which
adds to her ability to organize others. She takes herself seriously,
perhaps too seriously. She is anxious to keep up her standards, and her
self-discipline is applied to ensure this. (Saturn in Leo in the 1st
House.)

As you might expect, these two sides are not entirely compatible. Some
particular points of difficulty are indicated by the chart.
The logical and intelligent intentions indicated above, for instance, may be
undone by her more fanciful tendencies. The risk here is of being confused
or deceived, and she should be cautious of strange mystical ideas. Anxiety
or depression can result from thinking unrealistically. However,
constructive efforts to control this tendency will yield great rewards. The
same applies to the other problems described below. In this case, rational
use of imagination can especially favour fiction or poetry writing, or even
psychic abilities.
(Mercury and the Sun in Virgo square Neptune. The need for constructive
effort seems to be a feature of the square aspect.)

Her unpredictable and rebellious opinions are at odds with her genial
manner, and may make it more difficult to get on with others. (Uranus
square Ascendant.) A need for freedom may disrupt her romantic
attachments. She might have difficulty making allowances for those she
loves. Unexpected events put a strain on relationships, and sudden changes
and unusual features in her love life are indicated. (Uranus square Venus.
N.B. fixed signs.)

Emotional needs, especially for solitude, could interfere with her work or
home life, or cause tension between them, perhaps because both together are
too great a strain. Old habits may be part of the problem, and she will
have difficulty seeing how it arose. (Moon in Cancer square MC and IC.)

Her outgoing and dramatic temperament may lead her into situations which her
more cautious mind is not comfortable with, and this will often cause her
some anxiety. This one is not easily resolved, and she may just have to
live with it.
(Mercury semi-sextile Ascendant - not square.)

MISCELLANEOUS INDICATIONS
Just a list of oddments. Silveen, I'd be glad to know which of these are
right and which aren't.
Is she by any chance vegetarian? If not, is she on or involved with any
other kind of unusual diet? Always a possibility with Sun & Mercury in
Virgo.
Probably a quick learner, with a good memory. (Sun & Merc Virgo. Merc
sextile Ura, Mar & Jup.)
Mercury sextile Mars possibly means good eyesight & hearing - does this
apply here?
An interest in the past, history, antiques. Also possibly enjoys cooking &
perhaps gardening. (Moon, Mars and esp. Jupiter Cancer.)
Her vivid imagination may well give artistic ability. Writing seems most
likely from the chart. However, self-discipline is needed to make proper
use of this. (Moon, Mars &

Jup Cancer. Ven Leo 1st trine Nep Sag 5th. Sun Virgo, Merc Virgo sextile
Mars.)
A great dislike of rigid routines, needing freedom to express herself.
(Most of the chart seems to indicate this!)
There is a certain risk from alcohol, drugs or gambling. If this problem
occurs, it is likely to be as an escape from reality, or due to unrealistic
thinking - perhaps taking

it up to make herself more popular, without considering the consequences.
(Moon badly aspected in 12th. Nep Sag 5th, trine Ven & Asc in Leo. Mars in
11th can indicate dangers

through bad company.)

I hope some of you find this interesting.

Thank you!

This was so interesting to read..

altough i think that moon in the 12. house and having 135 aspekt with
neptune plays much bigger role than you mentioned
and moon is beeing in conjunktion also with Asc what makes this person
very emotional..

what about her work?

and also i noticed that pluto beeing in conjunktion with true node
should also get some attention
What do you think about it?

Glad you liked it. The Moon was supposed to get much more emphasis. I
noticed when I read through what I'd written that it hadn't quite such a
starring role as I'd meant to give it, but I was in a hurry so I didn't try
to rearrange things. With the Moon in Cancer, and Mars and Jupiter there as
well, the house the Moon is in is going to be important. Do you reckon 10
degrees is a conjunction? I generally say no more than 8, but I suppose
between the Asc and an already emphasised Moon you can get away with it.
Thanks for pointing out the sesquisquare to Neptune. I can never be
bothered to check for those. I should do really - that one in particular
seems rather intriguing.

As for her work, there weren't any obvious indications, and as I'd offered
just a character reading and oddments, I didn't look harder. Have you
noticed anything interesting? I'll have a look.

I left the moon's nodes out to save time. Again, putting them back in adds
plenty, as Pluto is rather a sensitive point in that chart and the North
Node being on it, and sharing most of its aspects, must do something.
