Discussion:
Evidence for or against tropical and sidereal astrology
(too old to reply)

The other night I looked in the sky and in spite of the fact that mars
is currently Rx in Virgo, I could clearly see it right in the center
of Leo,. I've never really given much thought to sideareal astrology,
but seeing this so clearly has made me think about it more over the
past day or two.

Scientifically, the sidereal system seems to make more sense to me,
but when I compared tropical and sidereal charts of myself and a few
close friends, and to put it nicely, I'll just say that it looked like
the tropical charts were much more accurate. I've also come to this
conclusion by looking at how my personality was before the age of 19
before I started studying astrology (I'm now 49), in order to avoid
any bias I may have developed over the years of looking at my tropical
chart.

I looked online for evidence supporting each system, but could only
find articles supporting sideareal and bashing tropical astrology. Do
any of you have any opinions on this issue?
Do you know of any resources that offer clear evidence for each
system?

Thanks in advance,

John Susen

I would like to remind poster and repliers of the paragraph in the Charter that speaks of "systemical sovereignty" (2.7), so that this discussion develops in a direction the Charter allows for. http://www.altastrologymoderated.info/charter

Hmmmm. I guess I touched on a hot issue. I don't mean anything bad
towards either system. I'm just curious in learning the facts on each
side.
