Discussion:
Progressions, synastry and proving astrology right (bonus, proving Dawkins wrong)

I must have mentioned in the newsgroup my idea of creating a matrix of
relationship charts, including progressed charts, and from there being
able to find strong correlations with the relations as they turn out
in reality. From my own experience, putting progressions into the mix
gives you results that cannot be argued with, and timings that are
shockingly exact.

Well, whether or not I have mentioned this, it seems that someone else
has gotten this idea, and, furthermore, done more than I did. He has
done this systematically and can present a lot of cases. If you are an
experienced astrologer, you also get enough information to create your
own personal time-tables, though he offers a software solution which
is probably quite alright (I haven't tested it so I cannot say
anything about it).

I am sooo happy, and can only commend, and recommend, his work. Check
out his website at:

P.S.
Except for the bonus of proving Dawkins wrong, if we prove astrology
right, the website also offers a nice "execution" of this enemy of
reason. /K

Thank you Kjell, this looks like very much my kind of thing! I'll read it
properly as soon as I have time.

What I did not find here, but which I would have included had I done
this research myself, are births and deaths. Synastry is indeed
valuable, but if one wants really "hard" data, births and deaths are
beyond interpretation in one sense. No one will argue with you that
you could have arranged things differently if you use dates for births
and deaths, while beginnings and endings of relationship can be
somewhat trickier at times.

Liz Taylor and Richard Burton could be taken as an extreme example
here: did the first divorce really end the relationship or just the
marriage?

Then again, I may be prejudiced because the whole entering/leaving
Earthly existence is where *I* happened to find a lot of meaningful
correlations! :-)
