I have been thinking about Heliocentric Charts and Geocentric Charts,
and how relevant that they are in our lives.
I read that Heliocentric Chart pertains to things from the perspective
of the higher self and show us our higher or extended purpose. I read
that Geocentric pertains to things from the perspective of our ego.
It is said that the higher self is the true self.
I have this view that the Geocentric Chart is really not a reflection
of who we are in our natural state but a reflection of who we are as
the result of conditioning.

Maybe people that have Sun aspect to the outer planets,
transneptunians, and heliocentric nodes in Geocentric Chart tend to
have an easy access to their higher selves for they also have Earth in
aspect to the same outerplanets, transneptunians, and heliocentric nodes
in the Heliocentric Chart. Sun in Geocentric Chart is always opposite
the Sun in Heliocentric Chart. People with a planetary energy strong
in both the Geocentric and Heliocentric Chart may also have an easy
access to their higher selves. People with Sun conjunct a Geocentric
Planetary Node have Earth conjunct the opposite Heliocentric Node, and
they may have an easy access to their higher selves. This also may be
true for people that have Sun in aspect to the nodes of Geocentric
Jupiter and beyond for they have Earth aspecting the Heliocentric
version of the Nodes.

I like the idea of this. How would you go about evaluating such things in a
particular chart? For that matter, how do you even calculate planetary
nodes? I don't think either of my free programs (StarFisher and ZET Lite)
are up to it.

I just read a piece by the late Robert P. Blaschke that relates to
what you write about here. His point of view is close to yours, if not
identical. He presents a system where he delineates the differences
between not only heliocentric and geocentric/tropical but also takes
into consideration the draconic (or lunar) chart and the geocentric/
sidereal.

I found his analysis to be interesting, in spite of that it
incorporated ideas about karma. I am not against the idea of karma per
se, but I want astrology to work without requiring particular views
that are overly religious in nature. Anyhow, his system makes sense,
and I thought I should mention it here as you write about the
differences about various kinds of charts.

This is what he writes about the heliocentric chart:

”The Heliocentric Zodiac is infrequently used by astrologers. This Sun-
centered
model generates a horoscope that symbolizes one's Christ
Consciousness, or one's
Higher Self. This chart, without a Sun position, operates at a level
of reality where
there is no individual ego, but only one's Higher Self serving a
larger purpose, such
as Love, Truth or Beauty. This writer recommends viewing the
Heliocentric nativity
as representing all that is virtuous within the individual, as if he
were operating from
pure Spirit.” [1]

My own reflection when it comes to heliocentric charts is that one
needs to take into consideration that the Moon is not present in these
charts, and take a stand on how that should affect one's reading of
the chart. When thinking of the heliocentric chart as a chart for the
higher self, the "lack" of Moon becomes adequate, as the Moon speaks
of *incarnated* reality.
