Venus and Saturn

I don't think it is controversial to say that all contacts between
Venus and Saturn are unhappy ones for Venus, though they may be good
for Saturn.

Contacts being aspects, that is.

But what about mutual reception? Say Venus in Aquarius and Saturn in
Libra, would you say that such a constellation would be sorrowful for
Venus also?

Not all interpretations of the positive aspects are unhappy ones, at
least in Ebertin's CSI.

A trine? I wouldn't think 'sorrowful' so much as 'reserved' or
'careful'. But Venus in Aquarius alone may not ultimately be a very
satisfying placement, since there's some fear of deeper ties.

Friday the 13th of January Venus in AQU will trine Saturn in LIB, soon
after too conjoin Neptune. This will occur in the 29th and 30th
degrees of AQU/LIB.

For various reasons this date seems to resonate with my natal chart.
The Sun is on my Descendant, Pluto will be trining both my Mars and my
Pluto (they are in trine natally), Venus and Neptune are elevated only
a couple of degrees away from my 2 PIS MC.

I have a project that has been waiting in the wings for some time, but
I am not quite sure if I feel that this Venus-Saturn trine with mutual
reception is "good enough" or if I should await a later time, when
there is no aspect at all between Venus and Saturn.

(The project has been waiting for "the perfect time" for a long time,
so it's not catastrophic should it have to wait some more.)

No. I cannot find the question. With horary I believe one must have a
certain "feeling" for the question, and I cannot find the question
that makes me "feel" like that.

Suggestions accepted, though.

You feel awkward with Venus-Saturn aspects, a little stiff maybe.
Good at calculation and business, serious of course, testing love
before accepting it as real. Not so pushy and controlling with the
flowing aspects.

Good at business is a good thing here. Thank you!

It is. Consider how to interpret aspects, for at balanced approach let's use
the sextile:

planet A sextile planet B, ie. planet A balances planet B.

Please make the point how that aspect could ever be bad?

Duration, longevity, economy ... none of those are implicitly sorrowful.

I am not certain I understand the question, but I'll try an answer
nevertheless.

If we consider what Venus is about and what she, so to speak, likes to
devote herself to, then a contact with Saturn, any contact, would lead
to her doing her stuff in a manner that is out of touch with what she
is about. That, of course, is the same with every other planet, but
with Saturn I think the case is the most extreme when it comes to not
being to Venus advantage.

I am here relying upon the notion of friendship between planets.
Examples: Mars is friend to no one, but Venus. Venus if friend to
everyone, but Saturn. Jupiter is friend to everyone, but Mars. Etc. (I
do not remember them all, but I remember clearly that Venus wont go
along with Saturn, even if Saturn, on the other hand, does not have a
problem with Venus.)

Certainly not. They may even be highly desirable. Still, I would not
consider them—if we take them in any Saturnian sense—to be ’Venusian’.
We could think of duration or economy in Taurean terms, and that would
be highly Venusian, but it would not be Saturnian.

My best,

P.S.
I found a table with enmities and friendships, among other things. It
seems I was wrong about Saturn. Both are enemies of one another, at
least according to this table. (I never learned these by heart so I
cannot say what is generally accepted and what not, but that in itself
indicates that I may very well have been wrong in my last post.)

Note that it is a PDF-file.
